Mojave Valley Review

A serious car RP with a real ignition chord — still Pre-Alpha, still worth a commute.

Game Review

Mojave Valley is one of the more stubborn Roblox driving games: you must start the car, shift, and obey a speed window if you want to get paid. That stubbornness is the review. If you wanted a hover-car simulator with auto-drive on by default, look elsewhere. If you wanted California sun, dealership trims, and a cafe that actually clocks ticks, this Pre-Alpha is already doing the job.

This is not a Metacritic clone. It is a player-intent review tied to the rest of the wiki: controls, money, cars, codes.

What works

The car is a car. S+F, Q/E, signals, hazards, interior camera on B. Console chords are printed on the official page. Few city RPs bother. When it clicks, a Tucson on a highway at 57 mph feels like a game loop instead of a menu.

The map has districts, not a single plaza. Sonora Vista, Ventura Dr DMV, dealership rows, housing carports, highway desert. Distance makes the first car matter.

Live-ops is understandable. Likes 44k → 50k, visit codes, holiday strings. You always know why a code exists.

Plus+ math is public. +10% drive/job, weekly $4,999. No mystery battle pass disguised as a car.

Servers are small. 25 players. You can learn faces. RP departments on Discord can actually occupy a town.

What is still Pre-Alpha

Payout numbers move. $750 cafe ticks and $650–750 drive snapshots are community HUD reads, not a design doc. This wiki will be wrong the week they retune. The stacking order will not.

Pins move. Cafes relocated once already. If you only watch old videos you will grind an empty lot.

Average session time is short on trackers (~10 minutes). The ignition chord plus a spread-out map punishes tourists. The beginner guide exists because the game will not hold your hand.

Scripts scene is messy. Car farms exist; inf-money remotes do not. Safety is not optional reading if you go that way.

No Trello, no polished handbook. You are on Discord, group shouts, and fan wikis. That is either charming or exhausting.

Who it is for

  • Players who like Greenville-adjacent realism but want a desert-California coat.
  • People willing to read a controls table once.
  • RP groups that can fill a 25-player cap with civilians and one LEO pass.

Who should skip

  • Anyone who wants 50-player chaos or combat.
  • Anyone who refuses to shift.
  • Anyone expecting a finished economy with frozen prices.
  • Anyone confusing this with Fallout’s Mojave or a mobile app of a similar name.

Score in plain language

As a driving toy: strong. As a job sim: good if you like cafe ticks. As a collector: excellent lot, dangerous for your wallet if you skip the tier list. As a stable 1.0 product: not yet, and the listing is honest about that.

Play it if a sunset highway in a Volvo-class sedan sounds like an evening. Redeem ANNIVERSARY while it lives, buy a Yaris, take Peet’s, and decide after two commutes — not after one stalled ignition in Park.
