Mojave Valley Houses
Claimable homes and carports after you can already afford fuel and a job commute.
Houses in Mojave Valley are roleplay anchors, not income buildings. A claimable home gives you a spawn story, a carport for the daily driver, and a place to park a second trim you should not have bought yet. It does not print cash. Buy one after the money guide loop is stable.
Official update titles have listed homes next to cars and mobile support since the game’s public Pre-Alpha. Neighborhood drops continue: June’s v.131-style patch added Green Lane Homes on Ventura Drive in Sonora Vista (in front of Boss Coffee) and Cliffside Homes near the Raya Mutual insurance office. A public map recap also describes a housing pass that replaced prop-only shells with claimable interiors, bedrooms, and garages. The May expansion added living space around Sonora Vista. Treat housing as a moving target. If a YouTube tour shows a street that no longer exists, believe the current lot, not the video.
When you should actually buy
Buy a house when all of these are true:
- You already redeemed codes.
- You own a fuel-efficient car from the car tier list.
- A Cafe Job is selected and you know the pin on the map.
- You can tank a few repairs without going broke.
If any box is empty, the property is a trap. Walking from a fancy door to a cafe on the other side of the desert is how 10-minute average playtimes happen.
What you are paying for
- A claimable home in a residential block or new neighborhood.
- A carport or garage — official screenshots and player tours show hatches and sedans tucked under covers with California plates.
- Interior space for RP (changing, hanging out, parking screenshots).
- A meetup pin for friends in a 25-player server.
You are not paying for a passive worker. There is no tenant income. The job tier list still ranks cafe above “I own a house.”
Where to look
Start with neighborhoods attached to your job. A Sonora Vista apartment next to Peet’s beats a distant mansion next to nothing. New neighborhood patches tend to spawn near the latest RP location so the trailer looks dense; that can be good if you like traffic, bad if you wanted a quiet carport.
Use the map guide to check highway access. Drive-to-Earn from your driveway is the dream commute: start the car with S+F (controls), merge, tick cash, park at the cafe, return.
Avoid buying purely because a limited car “needs” a matching house. The limited car was already a bad first purchase.
Carports, plates, and showing off
Custom license plates look best when the car is parked at home, not clipped through a dealership wall. Do plates after the house, or at least after the car. The DMV on Ventura Dr is a trip; chain it with a grocery-RP run so you are not burning fuel for a screenshot.
If you RP as LEO with the Public Services pass, a house is still optional. The station is the workplace. Civilians get more out of a front door.
Practical tips
- Claim, then immediately test spawn. If you load across the map from your job, you picked a postcard, not a base.
- Park the daily driver in the carport and the flex car at a garage landmark such as Wings HQ if you insist on owning both.
- Do not AFK overnight in a claimed lot expecting money. AFK is a script conversation, not a housing feature. See safety if that is why you opened this page.
- After a patch that relocates streets, re-walk your block. Pre-Alpha can orphan a driveway.
House versus second car
If you have enough for either a modest home or a better A-tier daily driver, take the car. The money page is not being poetic: distance is the tax. A faster, cheaper-to-fuel trim shortens every cafe cycle. A house shortens nothing until the car exists.
Friends and RP groups on Discord sometimes run housing districts. Join those after you can already drive there. The beginner guide still ends at “buy a cheap car,” not “buy a block.”
When you do claim, screenshot the pin, add it next to dealership / cafe / highway, and go back to work. The house is a save point. The valley is the game.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Mojave Valley on Roblox.
Should I buy a house first in Mojave Valley?
No. Redeem codes, take a job, and buy a cheap daily driver first. A house does not pay; it only gives you a spawn and a carport.
Do Mojave Valley houses generate income?
No. Homes are roleplay property. Cash still comes from cafe jobs, Drive-to-Earn, codes, and daily objectives.
Where should I live?
Near your job and a highway on-ramp. Sonora Vista is a strong cafe-adjacent option after the New Town expansion.
Can I park multiple cars at a house?
Carports and garages are the point, but own a fuel-efficient daily driver before you collect a second flex car.
